The Lord, My Keeper

Psalm 121 is short and sweet. It wonderfully proclaims the Lord Jehovah as our Keeper. Notice three things from this Psalm.
1. The HILLS.
A. We LIFT our eyes. “seek those things which are above”
B. We LOOK there for our help. “looking unto Jesus” “Look unto me and be ye saved”
C. We LIVE in the expectation of preservation. “from whence cometh my help”
2. The HELP.
A. The help we find is from our CREATOR. “help cometh from the Lord who made heaven and earth.”
B. The help that He gives is COMPLETE. “our foot to be moved” Helps us stand upright and keep our footing all along lifes
journey.
C. The help that we receive is CONTINUAL. “will not slumber nor sleep”
3. The HOPE.
A. He gives us EXHAUSTIVE security. “preserve from all evil”
B. He gives us EXTENSIVE coverage. “preserve thy going out and coming in”
C. He gives us ETERNAL hope. “even, forever more.”
Conclusion: Where are you looking for help? It is wise to look to the Strong for strength. Look to the Lord and live!
