Grace Baptist Church, Woodstock, VA

By Ron Maggard

After preaching most of the weekend in Enola, PA I traveled south on route 81 about two hours to Woodstock, VA in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.  This was a scheduled annual mission conference of this wonderful church led by Pastor Art Dunham.  I had met Brother Dunham more than 25 years ago when he was a student in Bible college in Massachusetts.  After college he and I had various opportunities to work together in some church plants in the New England area, particularly in Vermont.  He was called as pastor of Grace Baptist about 3 years ago and is doing a great job.

The theme of the mission conference was “I Can Tell The World”.  Each service was well attended by eager members wanting to learn more about the missionaries and their fields of service.  The choir sang the theme song each evening and others provided wonderful other special music.  It was a real blessing to have a part in this special meeting with Grace Baptist.  It was a wonderful time with Pastor Dunham and his family as well.  Praise the Lord for good churches, good friends and co-laborers in the work of the Great Commission!
