Yesterday ”the boy” turned 18! Wow, I thought! And I am so young! (No laughing.) Anyway, days like yesterday, days like my daughter’s wedding day, birthdays and anniversaries always cause me to think a little about my life and all the blessings God has given me.
God has given Frances and I two wonderful children. It has been a great joy in our lives to watch Victoria and Ransom growinginto wonderful young adults. Victoria and her husband Tyler Gillit work for Worth Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas and Ransom is a sophmore studying “missions” in Crown College. Though we wish we had more time to spend with our kids we are happy they are seeking God’s will and trying to serve and follow Him.
So Frances and I really enjoyed getting to spend Ransom’s 18th birthday with him in Tennessee. It was a short few hours but we were happy to have that time together. We are thanking God that we can see “the boy” growing into a young man. As we leave Tennessee we say “Happy Birthday Son!”
