Last night one of our young men was preaching for our Wednesday evening services. Edmundo Diaz was saved here in our church about 3 years ago. It has been an incredible blessing to see him growing in the Lord. Edmundo is a quiet and seemingly unassuming young man – but when he enters the pulpit it is a different story! He stands and boldly proclaims the Word of God. Edmundo along with others are training in our local ISBE (International School of Baptist Evangelism). I am very excited about the progress and growth that I see in our young men. They are becoming great leaders. They are developing into fine preachers.
Edmundo was preaching on the Lordship of Christ last night. He was declaring from the Scriptures that it is not enough for one to glibbly accept Jesus as Savior without realizing the claims that Christ makes on our lives as Lord of all. Many want a type of fire insurance from hell, but have no idea that as believers we are not our own – we are bought with a price, the precious blood of Christ. He owns us! For the true believer Christ is truly Lord to the glory of God the Father! (Philippians 2:11) I thank the Lord for Edmundo and hope you will pray for him as he continues to train and work in Iglesia Bautista Faro de Luz in Jupiter, Florida.
